| Thallus foliose, irregular, ±loosely adnate, 0.8–3 cm wide, 60–90 µm thick, pale bluish grey to dull leaden grey or browned. Lobes rotund to oblong or linear, 1–2.5 mm wide; margins entire or lobulate, ±recurved especially at apices; surfaces smooth, matt; isidia absent. Lower surface naked or with minute rhizines. Apothecia laminal, sessile, 0.5–1.3 mm wide; disc concave to flat or finally strongly convex and hiding exciple, pale orange-brown; thalline exciple finally recurved, ±lobulate, concolorous with thallus or pale tan. Ascospores ellipsoidal to ellipso-deltoid, bilocular, very rarely trilocular, 10–17 × 3–7 µm; apices narrowly obtuse to subacute. Pycnidia not seen. | ||
| Grows in montane to subalpine regions, on bark of trees and shrubs in moist eucalyptor Nothofagus forests or in woodlands; Qld, N.S.W., Vic. and Tas. | ||
